Stewart Cink from United States finished off a superb week at the 149th British Open hosted at the fantastic Turnberry golf course. He is the new Open champion, capturinging the title from the hands of Tom Watson in a four-hole play off after they tied on a two-under-par total of 278. The world of golf was focus on the incredible performance from the 59 years old Tom Watson who was leading the open during all week but failed to holed his last putt for par on the 72nd hole to win the title for the 6th time in his career.
The course was highly praised by the players and the spectators. As always, the organisation from the Royal & Ancient which is responsible for the British Open was remarkable.
The British open next year will be in St Andrews and will celebrate its 150th anniversary. A special year for the oldest golf professionnal tournament in the world. Please, do not hesitate to contact us to attend the British open in 2010!
